We obviously have moved along with the times, and in the last few years we also offer structured typesetting, including for dictionaries and technical manuals. One of our projects a couple of years ago, was working for a financial company to provide a real time solution to turning any random data file into a booklet, including adding dynamic advertisements into the text.
Today 'Traditional Typesetting' typically means mastering Adobe Indesign and related software tools such as Adobe Photoshop to produce Adobe Acrobat PDFs. Most printers now have their own CtP devices to make printing plates so supplying typeset pages on film is becoming less common.
Acrobat PDFs are delivered digitally so updates and corrections can be handled very efficiently regardless of a client's geographical location.
Being located in Hong Kong and understanding the Chinese language, we are privileged to work with a number of publishers in a bilingual setting. Our latest job was a book “Teach yourself Chinese”. It involved not only a book with bilingual typesetting, but we also project managed the book, including appointing someone to do the voice recording for both Chinese and English.
We also have quite a bit of experience on Korean books, including guide books and teaching books.
